Greek Summer Design - Mini Hand Embroidery for Beginners

Greek Summer Design - Mini Hand Embroidery for Beginners

Do you have some left over threads, but aren't sure of how to use them? To make a miniature embroidery design is a perfect way to use small pieces of threads that you don't want to waste. For example, you can have a look at your surroundings for smaller subjects such as sweet window frames, doors, a chair or maybe a flower. Sketch it onto a piece of fabric (here we have used a rigid cotton canvas) and get started stitching! This Greek summer design serves as an example of a mini embroidery pattern that you can achieve as a beginner. We only used basic stitches such as satin stitch, split stitch, back stitch and French knots. You don't need to know a lot of techniques to be able to create beautiful and unique embroidery designs. The most important is that you pick up some materials and begin to experiment! Happy stitching/ Charles
