I used some left-over threads as my inspiration and starting point, whereafter the rest of the design was created intuitively. I didn't prepare any sketch or design on the jeans in advance, but rather enjoyed the freedom of free hand stitching. To embroider your pocket is a perfect way to experiment with both style, colours and stitch techniques. It's easy to cut up your threads if you make a mistake or a figure that you don't like (or if you by accident stitch the pocket together).
